This is a rare and beautiful piece of English mid 19th Century furniture, with the most lovely heart key lock and brass drop handles by the famed Hobbs & Co London locksmiths. Charles Hobbs was an American locksmith who caused a storm at The Great Exhibition when he managed to pick the famous Chubb lock!
Following this he set up in London, Hobbs & Co based in Cheapside.
